didn't Sony take control over the project? lack of money seems nowhere near ..

anyway, Turbine doesn't have the wealth flood Blizzard does, but it managed fine.
Also, i STRONGLY doubt that VG will ever march out the negative spiral it is in right now, compared to other games. it doesn't matter how many patches it will get, sure, it will get better, but for the moment, vanguard is known to be "that game that has a lot of bugs that noone can run decently", so most people opt for something else.
It's only self explenatory that people who stay away from vanguard don't follow the update process. If you ask, Vanguard will get forgotten instead of rising up in the future. It's really easy, an MMORPG usually builds up on the initial player database, rather than a miniam amount of players building up as the update process happens.

It lacks players now, and it will lack players in the future. In fact, i would almost dare to bet that Vanguard will close down eventually when games like Warhammer Online will be released (only to point out that Warhammer Online already has a pretty vast playerdatabase)
