That's not true. I broke up with my gf because I went to another country. When I came back she was one of my best friends....And it wasn't weird or awkward.

I think he means a relationship that ends because they don't like/love each other anymore, not one that is forced to end.

Same thing, it ended in one way or another, in both ways you are SUPPOSED to feel weird and what not.Distance can mess things up.
