Yes, it's true. Apple is set to unveil a touch screen video iPod on Wednesday.
The “much anticipated” wide-screen iPod will be the company’s biggest weapon in the forthcoming Christmas store wars. Steve Jobs, Apple’s chief executive, is set to give a live demonstration of the new product line to a group of European journalists in London. But - true to technological form - he will not be there in person. Instead he will talk to them via a live video broadcast. He is hoping that the new gadget will become the “must-have” Christmas present and will revive slightly flagging fortunes at the Californian based company. Demand for the digital music player that has revived Apple since its launch six years ago has fallen flat recently. Last year, quarter-on-quarter sales fell for the first time since launch. Ta-daaa, time to send your Christmas letters off to Santa. |
