Well, if you don't already know it's like a rogue Skyware/Malware thing that gets into your computer and puts up all these fake warnings and suggest different tools to get rid of them, and those programs have viruses as well... And it's VERY difficult to get rid of... Everything i've tried has failed and the only stuff that is left to try costs money (In upwards of $40+)... One of the methods was to run an AVG scan in Safe Mode but ever since a message pops up with the whole "Windows Explorer has stopped working" and then it restarts and I have to wait a few seconds and it is doing this as I type and it's getting annoying... So, how can I get it out??? ;(

I heared something about reinstalling your OS or something but you needed to backup everything and it was hard... I have the disk and everything, but I don't know what I would need to do or how to do it... So, if anyone can help I don't want to lose my $1,000 computer that was a gift... ;(

Burn your important files to a CD, or move them to a detachable harddrive, then reinstall your OS.

get a removorable harddrive..
put your stuff you need on it.. (need, if you have small space, otherwise just get your whole program files folder and whatever else you need)
reinstall..
???...i mean.. put the files back on..
profit!?

Explorer might error and have to restart after scanning. The rogue should be gone after that.

Well, the warnings aren't there, but they stopped yesterday... And Windows Explorer still still restarts every few seconds... ;( I'm super pissed... How can I get it to stop?! X(

EDIT: So I could just put all my games into Program Files, move that, reinstall Vista, and it wouldn't keep the virus?
