i have both XP and Vista systems. my vista system has better hardware specs than one of my xp systems yet runs MUCH SLOWER. I will NOT game on vista because currant video drivers have not matured enough to run smoothly with vista and vista is such a huge resource hog it makes playing a game, that on xp runs perfectly, lag horribly.

I recently got Vista. Had lag issues with Shaiya that I haven't had before....until I turned the background music off and it works just fine now
I also have Fury (now that I have a system that can run it) and it runs as smooth as anything with no lag and no issues. Don't be scared of vista and don't be lazy either...take the time to tweak and ask for help.
