well, can anyone answer my question instead of bragging about how their games work for vista? I would really appreaciate it...

I tried doing it.. but whenever I tried adding something to the DEP's second option, it would only look up for executable files.. and the only executable file in the Gunbound folder is the NyxLauncher and some other stuff.. what's the exact file that I should add to the DEP list? Thanks guys.. I appreciate this..

I have an old comp with XP, i use for work and minimal gaming, I have a brand new comp, with vista, so ..

most of the games i have for it do not work.. even after all the upgrades and such, i had to dowload a new DVd player as vista kept giving me errors when i new it was updated etc.

it still wont install heros V for me
*sighs*
This thread is helpful as it has alot of fixes, i think microsoft was too worried about gettin Vista out and didnt work out alot of the bugs, but then if i think back when windows XP came out there was quite a few *bugs* people griped about as well, I just cant ever remember an operating system with this many issues

I've never had a problem with Vista. The only game that had a problem at first was Diablo II and it was fixed by running the video test.

Vista is ram dependent, it needs at least 8GB of ram to run smooth with all settting turn high, ram consuption idle is around 1GB- 1.5GB.

Vista dose not seeem to support older games, some even refuse to run becouse Hardware acceloration is not being turned on in vista for direct3d support, like for example 64bit Vista "Pristontale" is plaged by this problem.

XP dose not have that problem, as it maximum ram consuption on idle is 234MB and it can be even lower.
XP is faster then vista in many ways and supports all programs/games.

I recommend TinyXP Rev 9 / torrent sites, its the fastest OS reconfigured to maximize performance.

Lol i dont kno where the hell u got that major lie. I have never had nearly that much RAM and I run pretty much all my games on high settings with no problems. I also have yet to have a problem running games because of Vista. Sometimes i though it was Vista but really it wasnt the OS at all, but not all ppl are as lucky as me in that department i suppose.
