Holy... Custom Title!?

Mayodore eyed the man for a moment. Once a noble himself? Well, that was not entirely unheard-of. A noble would rape his own mother if it gave him advantage, and often being stripped of titles was considered an even harsher punishment then death. He might even be useful, the few ex-nobles Mayodore had met over the years had nursed a burning hatred for the higher-class even hotter then his own, and he might know things. The others certainly had. He answered carefully. "I would not risk bringing you all here if this little pouch was all I had. I have barrels of the stuff hidden in key positions, and certain trusted individuals are always making more." There, that should put him off balance if he was not who he said he was. For the rest, well, what was one more risk on top of all the others? "As for your other worry," he continued, "this will be much less a war as an execution, if all goes right. We have been making and hiding caches of crossbows and pikes for years, weapons that require little training to use, and already have garrisons of a sort placed near every major fort within three days ride of the Capital. After the palace falls, we can regroup behind the city walls and deal with the rest of the soldiers then. But without their leaders they will find themselves without purpose, and we outnumber the entire army of Mayodan at least three to one. With enough weapons, and proper leadership, we have a chance. Nothing more then a chance, but it is more then we've had for the last century."

"Sire, your soldier was out of line and was putting the law into his own hands, if it was a peasant man, we would have killed him the same for treason." For a moment, Tenh lowered his head as if he was thinking until one of his guard came out of the crowd. When the report was done, the officer quickly regained his spear into the sheath on his back and he started to walk away. “This soldier died because he tried to assault me. Call the guards and tell them I killed him. Do not appear in front of me again or else, I’ll show no mercy.” After being walled by a new busy crowd, he asked his soldier. “You may report now. “ “Sir, from the recons that you’ve sent last week in the Outer City, it seems some influencing individuals from different sector have started to move. To be exact, signs of rebellions are starting to show. Also, lady Yumi wished to see you when you’re free. “ “Continue to investigate the area for precise information’s. I want to know who the leaders are as soon as possible. And make haste to lady Yumi that I’ll be meeting her tonight if nothing happens. You are dismissed. “ “Understood. " As he proceeded down the street, a sudden sound of an explosion caught his attention. Although it wasn’t loud enough for the normal civilians to hear, him who has lost sight for years heard his clearly. He turned left and entered the building that the sound came from. A heavy alcoholic smell was overwhelming the room he entered and he could feel a few negative starred from his position. “Welcome to King’s Mercy Officer” King’s Mercy? Interesting….

((Sorry for posting so late...))
Lloyd saw the man stand up and offer everyone a drink and he would have been more than happy to join under normal circumstances...but something told him that the offer was just a code for Lloyd knew that no matter how good a sale was no man was foolish enough to waste his money on total strangers. These were difficult times and everyone had become increasingly greedy, keeping all the gold they earned for themselves. This may be interesting but if it is indeed a meeting between rebels I want no part in it. Lloyd was no fool and he knew that the chances of a rebellion succeeding were thin, if any chance existed. Lloyd continued to sip ale as he inspected the men that were entering the kitchen, some were small some were big but they all shared one characteristic, they were all strongly built. If a group of soldiers comes in...they'll be lucky to live another day. ((Sorry if this is kinda short but I didn't want to join in just yet...)) |

Wario’s Bad Accent

((Ill prettify it later. Late and going to bed.))
A sigh of relief came from Shattered when the man he defended was allowed the man to walk free and with no consequences of his own put down. Shattered watched him talk with his messenger but didn't pay much attention. He learned quick from others mistakes to eavesdrop into the conversations of the upper class. After they were done talking, a quick report, Shattered thought, they began walking down the street back to their quarters. He noticed that something had caught the attention of Tenhs ears because he hesitated a little in his steps and started walking towards the tavern known only as the Kings Mercy. Such an ironic name considering the circumstances of the world they all lived in. Shattered walked in a couple of steps behind Tehn and could already notice he was getting not so good stares from the patrons already settled into the tavern. Shattered walked towards the corner of the room and sat down far from anyones peering eyes and ears hoping it wasn't obvious he was with Tenh. A beautiful waitress with brunette hair down to her shoulders and slightly curled towards the bottom walked over. She wore a small apron and a long blue skirt that barely scraped the floor as she walked. Her white blouse was buttoned up revealing nothing of interest. Something most of the other waitresses would keep unbuttoned to get attention. She looked as though she didnt want it. "What can I get ya sir?", she asked lightly with a forced grin. Shattered could tell easily that she was nervous about something. With a short and quick reply Shattered responded, "Water", and then a small hesitation, "and when you come back, sit here". The waitress a little puzzled nodded and walked off. He took a quick glance around at the patrons sitting around the various tables. There were a few groups here and there, all had a glass of some various type of liquid in them, most of the patrons were all ready well off the wagon and weren't going to get back on any time soon. The waitress returned after a short minute and set a glass of water in front of Shattered. She sat hesitantly next to Shattered, not far away but enough not to be heard by the other people in the tavern. "What is going on in the back room?" Shattered asked quickly. Her eyes grew very wide shocked that he knew something but not exactly what. "N..n.n.nothing, what could make you say that?", she asked. "You see that man over there, big stick on his back", he pointed to Tenh and she nodded, "something brought him into this establishment, and if he finds out what it was and its not good, which I am assuming its not, then its very likely that many people will lose their life today. Now I can prevent this from happening. Would you want that on your conscience, knowing you could have stopped people from dying but didnt?", Shattered spoke directly into her eyes never blinking. She began to move unnervingly around in her chair. She leaned in closely to Shattered and began whispering into his ear about the events going on in the back of the room. Shattered, after hearing of the news and then men that were in the back room, stood up and walked behind the waitress and whispered in her ear, "Tell him, Mayodore was it, my name is Shattered, and to meet me at Bowors Stable, you know of it?", the waitress nodded. "Good, hes to meet me there tomorrow before the sun has risen above the lands." Shattered walked over to Tenh and sat next to him. "Whats got your attention sire?", Shattered asked with sincere curiosity. "I heard a bang, an explosion of sorts, very faint, and it came from in here somewhere", Tenh told his artisan. Shattered spoke calmly, "There are a group of magic users in the back room, most of them novices. They are training using the various ingredients here in the tavern for a festival for the town. The waitress says they have been doing all sorts of tricks. Nothing of concern sire."

" A group of magic users heh...."
Yet again, Tenh hesitated on this piece of information but he had no reasons to investigate any longer. He turned around and headed for the exit. Right before he left, he faced over his shoulder. “Perhaps there's a group of magic users but next time, don't call me as the man with the big stick..." He left the tavern leaving the fact that he can hear close to anything but whispers. When the sun has set, the officer headed for Lady Yumi's mansion. Daughter of the brother of the king, said they were going to marry before he has lost his memories. The streets in these luxurious sectors are often decorated by countless ornaments or grandiose status. Although Tenh could not see these manifestations of arts, he could somehow figure out their forms and textures when he touches them. Something that doesn't make a sound is something mysterious to him. Not long after, one of the Lady's maid called for him and he was lead to the mansion, Lady Yumi's room. " I heard from Uncle there's signs of rebellion in the Outer City. " He was muted. He didn't know that news would have travelled so fast. “Oh real-.." “And Uncle said that you've been acting weird lately. Not only do your help those helpless civilians, you even let them kill your own soldier? " “No, that soldier assau-" “You don't need to lie. A man named Valen Orkan killed the poor soldier and a certain Kerkain man defied the king's authority which is you. I know everything and the king knows everything. " "..." “Uncle told me to warn you. Stay out of trouble and do what you were told to. You entire team of spies in the Outer City has been captured and executed. " Tenh could not argue over the king's action. His life was more or less controlled by him and if he questions his actions, the next thing would be the entire army after his head. With clenched fist, he held his anger within himself and stood up. “I will follow as he said... Good night Yumi...” “Please...Stay out of trouble..."

((The following character sheet and info have been approved by the OP))
Name: Herdic "Maze" Ryskar Age: 48 Strenghts: Speechcraft, puzzle solving, games expert (as in chess, checkers, darts), strong will and inventive. Weaknesses: Stubborn, Slow and a bit paranoid. Description: Strong black hair with gray lining falls smooth near the forehead, covering one eye and a strong, small ponytail swiftly dancing on the back. Untammed eyebrows are not a distraction when it comes to his eyes, yellowish-brown, resting on the side of this long, almost flat nose. Normal sized lips lay below it, damaged by the wind and the cold. Wearing tight, dark green pants and a white button shirt filled with dirt spots that seem to have been there for a long time. A dark red colored writing feather rests behind his ear. Somewhat an adventurous look serves as a shell to a bright mind. History: Herdic grew up just fine. Part of a small family, his father, mother and an uncle, he was taught good manners and teached harshly by his mother. His father was a crafter. Worked handsomely with wood and teached some tricks and tips to his son. He also used to make small wooden puzzles and table games. Perfect mother and father in many peoples eyes, but the most important person in his life was his uncle. His uncle spent hours upon hours chatting with him, filling his mind with usefull knowledge and people skills. Herdic became nearly impossible to be conned and lied to and it was usually easy for him to talk his way out of nasty situations. Eventually his mother and father passed away, and his uncle gone on a trip somewhere never to be heard about again. Herdic spent years upon years trying to track his uncle, but only dead ends. He eventually gave up and that's where he is now. --------------------- "...With enough weapons, and proper leadership, we have a chance. Nothing more then a chance, but it is more then we've had for the last century." Herdic was there. Astonished and very well impressed by this powerfull black powder. But would it be enough to achieve what seems so impossible? To defy the king and the well trained soldiers? He didn't know, but they had to try. "Sir, you speak greatly and with passion and I do not doubt your commitment to this. That is definitly some great trick up our sleeves, but is it enough? This could already be a losing plan!! How can we know everyone here can be trusted? How, I ask you!" Herdic started acting paranoid, seeing spies everywhere, gazing into everyone eyes as they could tell him who is serious about this and who is not. Nothing. He settled down and left room for others to speak.

((Hmm, Astro, I don't remember approving your PM, or even seeing it, really. It's probably my fault though, as I delete my PM's too often, and for a while I thought this RP was dead. In any case, your character is good, so all's cool. Oh, and Shattered, I know your new at this, and your doing great, but you have to be careful when talking to other characters, for instance, putting words into Tehns mouth. This situation in particular was minor, but unless you asked him already and in which case this entire warning is moot, you should really never dictate what another posters character does or says.))
Mayodore calmly faced the man and thought carefully before replying. "It is true, there is a chance that spies are in this room. But I have taken precautions so that, after this meeting, there will be little doubt as to the loyalty of those whom I decide to completely reveal my plans too. As to whether or not this new weapon will tip the scales in our favor, I believe it will. We have numbers, more intelligence then the nobles ever deigned to grant us, and a solid purpose to invigorate us. With careful use of my Fire Sand, we shall topple the Monarchy once and for all and begin the restoration of our nation. Our children, at least, will be able to live in freedom." After he finished he looked around the room at the men and women he needed so badly, though it would be a bad idea to reveal just how much quite yet. It was true he had many barrels of Fire Sand produced, and a goodly number of followers ready to both assault the major military emplacements around the Capital and bring their villages into the fold, but these people in the room now were special. Not only did they have influence, but they had power. Of a more natural kind then the current administration. He needed mages, trained or untrained, for several of his plans to work, and these were the only ones he had been ables to find who had the kind of potential he needed. The nobles culling of the lower classes magic-talent had been all to successful. And so he stood there and stared into their eyes and while he saw mostly uncertainty, he was sure he could change that. It was time to cool the metal, and only time would tell if he had done enough hammering. He slammed his palm down on the table, breaking the watchers of their reverie and attracting their acute, shocked attention. "We've run out of time. Soon someone will begin to wonder why such a large group of people had to go into the kitchen in such a short time, not to mention the cooks will chatter about us being in this room no matter how the proprietress tries to shush them. I've a way out without us being seen further, but I warn you now, it will forever seal you to this cause. So if you would rather leave and take the risk of being caught, go now." A rather risky ultimatum. If only a few left, things could still go smoothly, but if they all decided it would be better to report this rebellion then take the chance of going down for it, Mayodore was quite thoroughly trapped. Nothing to do now but watch how the dice fall. Gods, but he hated gambling.

OOC: Icy, some of those text colours are really hard to read. Could you use darker colours? I could highlight the whole thing I suppose, but that really negates the point of colouring parts of the text anyway...
IC: Telthan raised one blond eyebrow. "What do you mean by that?" he asked, interest vying with a slight amount of concern in his voice. "You're not going to destroy this building, are you?" A moment ago, I would have thought the idea ridiculous... impossible, he thought wryly, I need time to think about this all, it's almost too much to comprehend. "If this movement is to succeed, I... and the rest of us," he added, indicating the others with a brief hand motion, "Will need time to inform our subordinates and organize our people and a hundred other things. If we are being openly pursued by soldiers, that will be nearly impossible."

Mayodore smiled. "No, I am not going to bring down the building, I would not do that to Martha. Indeed, my way will ensure no one even sees you leave this building." Now, he had to reel them in while they were still off-balance. "Trust me, you will have ample opportunity to gather your followers, and even if you cannot openly show your faces, they will not be needed until after the initial push. We do not have time to waste down here, as I said earlier the kings patrols could be alerted any moment to this strange gathering. You must choose your sides. Join us, and your people, or live forever under the monarchies' tyranny."

Telthan relaxed inwardly, while outwardly still pretending to hesitate. Finally, as others began to stand up around him with shouts of "Aye!" he nodded, smiling, and meeting Mayodore's eyes.
"Aye, let's bring down the oppressors!" he exclaimed.
