After a few weeks of planning, a few friends and I are finally startin' a Ska band. We're probably going to start playing Streetlight Manifesto/Reel Big Fish covers on weekends pretty soon, but the first order of business is a name, and I need the internet's help

Right now the frontrunners are "The Lobsters", and "Kody and the Seven Dwarves" (My name is'nt Kody, and yes, we have 8 people

) , but that's after a 3 minute brainstorm session. We need a better name, so post em up.

By the way, the band has a Tenor/alto Sax (me), a baritone sax, a trumpet, a trombone, and of course a guitar, drum, bass and vocal person.

Well, I'm no good at coming up with band names... my band's name is "Kabe", and that's after, like, a two hour session.

I didn't come up with it, though.

So sorry, I'd love to help you. D:

Only thing I can think of is "The Red Kennedys", but that's too much of a ripoff of the Dead Kennedys. XP

Eh, I guess that's pretty cool, but I forgot to mention one thing. If you've never listened to ska, it's generally happy music, so pretty much if you can fit a name to a metal band it's no good.

No. Not Jamaican alone. It originated there, but it combines a lot of Carribean influences.
