Ok well everyone here is familiar with Maplestory and in Maplestory there happens to be something called NX cash with this u can buy awesome looking clothes and weapons and stuff. So keeping that in mind here is my story. There is a website called Gaming Lagoon and on this website they suggest just do these surveys and sign up for this website and you get free points. After about 10 Free points they'll send u a NX cash card and you can use it on your account. So I do a bunch of surveys i made sure all the ones i did were stated as [Free] and so i got my card and i was on my marry way. There was one problem though. Every month i had been getting a letter from Columbia House about a membership. Ive been throwing them away thinking it was just junk mail . But today I opened one because it said URGENT MESSAGE and so upon opening it it says I have to pay 54.88 or they'll send me to a debt collection agency. Now being a minor with absolutly no money i'm am screwed. I told my mom and she flipped and yelled and all that is involved with that. The thing that worried me the most is she said wait tell you tell your father. Now if i thought my mom flipped my dad is going to a double aerial tripple back flip. So again i say I am screwed

I have emailed them asking to repeal the 48$ for some stupid thing and it says it'll take 2 days to get here. Now i just have to wait and hope my dad doesnt it take it as bad as I'm imagining he will

Always remember, there is no such thing as free money, no matter how many people say there is, it doesnt make it true.

It's called a scam. Don't pay it. I've been in the same situation. <.<

Or at least don't pay a cent until they actually do send you to a debt collection agency. Which probably won't happen. You didn't even do anything that you had to pay for.

Gaming lagoon itself is not a scam. I've gone there and gotten a month at gametap. It's just doing BS surveys and stuff, which earn them money. That e-mail you got is a scam, and probably linked to a survey or fake offer you did. I got so much spam from doing those, but they die down after a couple of months.

why did you post your real adress? or was it just like "you wont get the point if you dont post the adress"... id just spam the owner till he helps you out. and kunrian is that avatar a render? if so wheres source plz?

Two lessons learned here:

1. You'll positivly almost always never get "free money" from the internet, so anything that says you will is a load of Bull shit.

2. Don't play Maplestory.

The second wasn't so much a lesson but a VERY strong suggestion.

Yeah it was just a scam. You didn't actually have to pay or anything. But you already told your parents so your screwed anyway. Should have kept it to yourself.
