Pls help me find the working out and answer to the question...

The average attendance at McDonaldsTM football club fell by 7% in 1999(i wonder why). If 2030 fewer ppl went to matches in 1999, how many went in 1998.

Answer shud be29,000. :P checked answers. But teacher says i nid working out... PLS HELP..

7/100 = 2030/x is how you do it. (You are finding X)
I forgot the rest. Lmao.

OH YEAH! Then I do the X(cross) multiply. So 7 times x, 2030 times 10.
You then get, 7x=203000. To get X you have to divide both sides by 7.
7x/7 = 203000/7 (Lets use calculator now xP)
x = 29000. You're right dude. Because 7% of X equals 2030 o_o

Maybe ur teacher got wrong answer??? Or maybe look back at the problem and find out what they're asking?

Maybe by "working out", he meant showing the working of how you got the answer, instead of just writing out the answer you got from the answer sheet.

Yeah, never expect a teacher to give you a mark for single answers for a question like that...

Today, in class, I forgot to do my homework so as the teacher was going around checking it, I was writing the answers straight out of the back of the book. He came by, my book was open to the back, answers showing and everything. He looks at my paper, says "Good job", then walks off.

I'm glad too.

I'm not much of a math person. >_<
