I totally agree with you. FF7 was one of Square's most popular games, so they're probably gonna milk it for all it's worth. Oh wait, they already have. First there was Advent Children, then Dirge Of Cerebes, now Before Crisis and Crisis Core?? And a PSP remake is more likely, cause it'd be easier to make. They'd have to reprogram the game completely for a PS3 remake. They'd have to upgrade the graphics, music, voiceovers......which is more difficult than it seems. And I doubt they'll be able to reproduce the game's soundtrack without Nobuo Uematsu.
And FF12 was NOT crap. Square was trying to be original for once, not put the same old generic "OMG we have to save the world from complete destruction!" crap they put into all of their other games.

Square Enix to reveal Endless Crisis: FFVII, others at TGS 07?
Posted Sep 18, 2007 at 03:59AM by Ryan A. Listed in: Rumors, Games Tags: Square Enix, Sony, Kingdom Hearts Square Enix to reveal Endless Crisis: FFVII and others at TGS 07? - Image 1This year's Tokyo Game Show (TGS) is just around the corner and updates and rumors are slowly beginning to pour in. The next one came from online sites Jeux-France and 2ch. Quite interestingly, it involves major video game franchise from the legendary company Square Enix. Here's the tentative list of titles that will be showcased by Square Enix during TGS 2007 with their corresponding platforms: * Endless Crisis: Final Fantasy VII (PlayStation 3) * Final Fantasy XIII (PlayStation 3) * Final Fantasy Versus XIII (PlayStation 3) * Kingdom Hearts (temporary title) (PlayStation 3) * Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories 2 (Nintendo DS) * Kingdom Hearts 0 (PSP) * Star Ocean 4 (PlayStation 3) As much as we want these to become true, Square Enix and platforms owners Sony and Nintendo have yet to comment on these speculations. Until they do, we'll just have to put this report under the Rumor category. also i played FF12 for maybe an hour and then took it back to the shop and got my money back, the battle system was basiclly FF11 all over again if i wanted that i would of just kept playing that, the battle system just put me to sleep so quickly it wasn't fun at all. Give me the old your on that side i'm on this side lets fight!

I love how whenever Square comes out with an FF with a turn based battle system, people rip it apart because it's too similar to the other games. But when they try to make something fresh and original, everyone gives them crap for it. It makes no sense. I personally loved FF12, and I think people should be more appreciative of Square because they tried to be different for once.
