The first thing you need to do is to prepare yourself for a long road of development.

The second thing you need to do is to write out a full design document detailing what your game will be like. Without programming knowledge, this will be difficult, but write down as much as you can. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP.

The third thing you need to do is find out what role you will have in development. For a 3D MMORPG, you will HAVE TO HAVE knowledge in at least one of the following: 3D Modelling or a programming language (most will recommend C++). If you dont have skills in either of these, you will have to gain them. As frequent as requests for Super 3D MMORPG Maker teams are, game devvers want to see results, not just a neat idea. Showing that you have some skills will show that youre serious and will probably net you more help. And of course, if you plan on going solo, you will need skills in BOTH of them, so get cracking!

The fourth thing you need to do is never give up.

Thats all it takes really.
