Did you konw taht the hmuan bairn can raed wrods as lnog as the frist and lsat ltetr are in the rghit sopt?

(sorry if you couldn't read that, yes, I did it on purpose)

I learned this from some video I watched, it was really neat.

You do realize that that's not always trues.

What is happening is that your brain is essentially recognizing a familiar symbol, and thus you remember the word. It doesn't work if the word is changed and resembles something else. It also doesn't work if the person has hardly ever seen the word before.

For instance, you said "ltetr" to men leter; however, when I first read that, I procesed it as "Iter-" like the word Iterator.
