the best way to get tech with a figher would be using constantly suplex, which u get at lvl 1 automatically at jobchange (on 2nd thought not entirely sure about that, if not the invul frame is worth skilling it to 1).
by grabing an enemie who faces you, it is executed as backattack, by grabin him from behind its a normal attack. (i know thats not logic, but thats the way it is ^^)
since backattacks give tech its the easiest way to get some tech with a fighter.
alternatives: notmal attacks from behind, overkills (killing the enemie with 1 hit when he has more then 30% of his HP), and some skills like uppercut on an enemie that stands on the ground.

you should skip on the basic wave. same goes for ashen fork, lvl 1 is basically enough

regarding upper: well for me 10 is by far enough (usually i always went till 5 since you needed it for cancel)

Urgh. I've been getting this strange crash to desktop problem that is becoming very common. For every 15 minutes, the game will freeze for a couple seconds, then immediately crash to the desktop. I'm not quite sure if it's due to VPN or something else.

You can get them from Borodin and Vilmark (nvm the rank). About 5 pcs per run. If you die you won't get them. All three priests' awakening requires 45 of something from Borodin and Vilmark.
