Anyone got any suggestions on how/where I should level? (level 11 mage)
I'm having a difficult time with the 4th dungeon in the second town hahaha. Maybe I'm just bad at this game xD but... anyone have any suggestions?

Downloading an update. Should be on soon. Though I don't know how long I can stay on. I'll have to negotiate with my mother, as she's got me designing a website for her community project.

Which Dynasty Warriors are you on? Chinese, Japanese or Taiwanese? k3m wanted to know, I think he plays Chinese but I'm not sure. Also, you say that but, I only level people all the way to the 20's. Once they get near 30, they're on their own. (After all, all my playing flaws start showing when I fight the GBL. LOL) Finally, if you jump back on to Arad, let me know. I've managed to play a lot lately. @Porings. I hope our game was educational today. Focus on properly blending your spell usage with your melee. It needs to flow such that you don't feel like you are leaving combat just to cast a spell. Casting spells IS combat. Don't make that mistake. I know I regretted it. Likewise, do NOT charge as many shots as you do. Yes you want to get the most for your mana however you do NOT want to get hit while charging and lose the shot, and you do NOT want to have to wait so that the enemy comes to you. You DO want to be in the middle of your opponents while you launch off shots left and right and that's why I made you switch from Lantern and Frost to Flourescent and Pluto. Nonetheless, you can still do that with Lantern Fire and Frost Head so long as you know where to be and when. Frost Head is not exactly a spell I like, however at high levels it starts to "chase" a particular target and it still does minor AoE damage. So it's like a hopping smart bomb. It just looks particularly stupid. Arctic Fist (The Ice FINISHER spell) will make up for that, I promise you. WHEN YOU CHANGE TO ELEMENTAL MASTER HOWEVER; The more focused you are on a particular element the more power you can draw from it, however monsters have elements too, so its important to not be stuck in a position where you are using the an elemental attack that is the same as the monster's own element. This causes damage reduction. Likewise, the "Element Attribute Mastery" gives you resistance to attacks of the same element while increasing damage for your spells of the same element. Focus on the two elements you want to get the finisher spells for and work it like the following; ELEMENT 1. Basic Elemental spell lvl. 10 <-Start maxing early. 2. Advanced Elemental spell lvl. 5 <-- Required player level 25. 3. Element Attribute Mastery lvl. 5 <-- Required player level 30. 4. FINSHER Elemental spell lvl. MAX <-- Required player level 40. Example; DARKNESS Launch Pluto 10 Void 5 Darkness Attribute Mastery 5 Night Hole MAX & WATER Frost Head 10 Kyi Ring Fence 5 Water Attribute Mastery 5 Arctic Fist MAX Or whatever two elements you can get. And finally, save a TON of extra sp points while you figure out what else works for you. Make sure you aren't just choosing something that happens to be useful against a particular monster, cause in the end you will be stuck with it. -Rem P.S. Do NOT worry about running out of mana. Remember what I said, where you are at you have about 47 to 54 shots to use per dungeon. All that and you only stay in each map for 12 seconds max in the estimate. That's quite a bit HOWEVER, I am willing to wait in each room while you regain some more. And most of the English community will also tolerate that, and if they don't, make them do the majority of the work while you conserve mana. While you aren't spending MP you are regaining it. So make them wait on you (and I will gladly since I'm also a mage) or just keep them in front while you conserve. Likewise, when soloing, TAKE IT SLOW. Only in parties do you end up aggroing everything in the map, while soloing, you can take them out in small groups as you move across, then wait at the end before the entrance to the next map while your mp regains. Sounds slow, and it is, but VERY WORTH IT. Go get Ancient Library too. Last edited by OuterRem; 12-13-2007 at 05:48 AM. |
