Well I've just decided to try skateboarding. So if anyone here has tried skateboarding or is skateboarding ATM. Then could you give me some pointers? I was watching some videos earlier on how to ollie and kickflip, it looks pretty easy, but I'm guessing it's harder then it looks.

Wear shirts that are tight (not emo tight) and shorts that looks like boxers. I promise, you'll be 10x better at skating.

Hold the right stick down, and then flick it up and to the right. You've just done a kickflip, 200 points.

ollies is the easiest to learn, shift the weight to the tail hitting the tail the slide your front foot forward to balance the board. Make sure you have a pair of shoes for skating and one for other things as your shoes will turn to shreds in no time.

Kickflips i've never really been able to do, but heel flips i can do or well use to. Haven't slated since about high school. 4-5 years ago.

As you ollie kick the left or right tip ( depending on what styles youa re) forward making it flip. whats hard in landing it. knowing when to put you feet down will take some time or control how strong you kick the board. its all up to you.

Invest in a GOOD deck (and bearings)...wheels and trucks won't make TOO much of a difference to you at this point. Get some LEATHER skate shoes (I have some Osiris')...and just go from there.

I used to try to skate, I never was too good at all. Actually, when I'm drunk, I can out skate anyone in my town, how cool is that
