Okay, so I have a Logitech LX 700 keyboard and when I try to press F1-F12 buttons, they don't do what they are supposed to do in the game, just this "SetPoint" pop-up pops up and asks whether I want to define an action for that button. However even if I define something for that button, it still doesn't work. : s Help?

Not saying this to be a Smart *** or nothing lol, But solution = Buy a new keyboard.

Had the same problem with a diff keyboard i couldn't figur it out so bought a new one.

well, each game is different on what keys it uses...
Some don't use any of the F# keys.
I suggest you first find out if the keys are even suppose to do anything in which ever game you're playing.
If they should do something, but are not, check the control settings, to see if they were changed. If it still looks fine, then your keyboard is bad and you need it replaced.

Bet you 20k on Maple Story theres an F-Lock key. Thats what my problem was, check your keyboard for it. Press F-Lock, and it does the "F" keys, rather than the command issued to them
