Teleology basically says that the ends justify the means. In other words, as long as the consequences outweigh the way I do it, it's okay to do it. I.e. Sacrifice 10 peoples' lives to save 100.
Deontology says that the means justify the ends. In other words, as long as you do nothing morally wrong, the end product will always be good. I.e. Imagine that someone can bring it about that nobody in the world suffers from starvation. However, to do so they would have to act in a way that was morally wrong. Perhaps, they would have to kill everyone currently living on land that could not support agriculture. A deontologist would state that the way that the end to starvation was brought about would mean that the 'world without starvation' was a bad state of affairs. I'm a teleologist because as long as the end product justifies what you have done to achieve it, it's all good. P.S. Please post the reason for your moral standpoint.
