Portal is a great game; however, everyone keeps complaing about it being so short.
Well, there is a reason for that. Most of their time was spent remodaling their physics engine to handle the new sudden change of physics, you just couldn't teleport the player around. For example, a portal on the floor and a portal on a wall. With out modifying the teleport, when you jumped through the portal on the floor on the other portal, you would suddenly change direction, as thought the portal were on the ceiling. They needed to recode alot of script to apply momentum and inertia rather than relying on gravitational physics only. [I had a huge text here, but deleted it cause it got too large] Anyway, Valve does have plans to enable steam to become a map distribution program. Essentially meaning tha tone day you could run portal, go to an in game browser, and download new portal puzzles.
