Go into Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel, and click the "Add/Remove Windows Components" button to the left. Once loaded, checked items are components that are currently installed.
To uninstall, uncheck the box.
Some components, such as Internet Explorer, cannot be removed. So only shortcuts on the desktop and Start Menu will be removed. Others, such as MSN Explorer, are removed completely.

Yup and disk check and defrag.I had a problem where I had only 200 MB-3 GB left in my whole hard drive. I deleted all the programs I didn't need and disk checked 5 times a day =P. The problem was I was using gigaget to download my programs. So I gone to all the finished/unfinished programs in gigaget and deleted them. Ran a disk check. BOOM 1GB>50 GB .
