Okami Confirmed for Wii

During a conference in London this week, Capcom announced that Okami will be painting its way on the Wii in Spring 2008.

Okami was originally released on the PS2 where it was received by many as the freshest title to be released on consoles. The game is filled with puzzles and action adventure gameplay, very similar to Zelda. The story is inspired by ancient Japanese stories which lend the game a very interesting storyline. One of the most unique qualities surrounding Okami was its graphical appearance. With the use of a watercolor painting visual style the game really stood out.

Capcom plans to take advantage of the Wiimote when players use the Celestial Brush within Okami. The paintbrush is used in combat and for solving puzzles.

My friend Tyler was telling me about this game a few days ago, matter of fact. His explanation wasn't nearly enough to find anything on the web. I'm really glad you posted this, because it was something I was looking for

I've never played Okami, but I've seen and heard alot of good things about it.

You're going to be waiting for a while. It's been about a year since release and the bastard is still 34.99 at GameStop and 34.89 at Walmart.

I don't have a job at current, so I guess I have to resort to the "no lunch," option since Dragon Quest is nearly beaten.

Okami rules. I have it. This is one game, that if I had the Wii I would really want. Wiimote celestial brush ftw!
