Anyone know were to get GW mods from. Last mod i got was a custom map called crowhaven u had to explore a zombie infested dungeon which came with missions the dungeon looked a lot like the dungeon from the quest in oblivion with some the orc grand champion anyway once u finish the crow haven missions u get a sword for some reason any class could use it even tho im ranger/necromancer i could use it. it was a modded sword which did like over 10000 damage i couldn't beleive it soo too many people bugged me saying theyd buy it for 2 mill and stuff it wasnt worth it cuz the sword was soo powerful it never did less then 10000 damage soo yah. i forgot the url to the mod site. soo can u tell me a free gw mod site?

...and you expect us to believe this is real?
The only, and I repeat only, GW mods that exist just change textures and models, and only do so on your client - Everyone else just sees the regular model/texture. Unless you're running a private server - in which case, we don't want to hear about it.

No actually there are mods like this, I spotted someone with an odd looking sword the other day that I'd never seen before. I asked him where he got it, but he was german :P But they're are mission mods out there, but it's most likely arenanet will catch on and ban you for using them so be careful.

texmod changes some visual effects but only you can see it. This is the only third-party program that Anet has given its nod to, as it doesn't actually change anything in the .dat file but only substitutes mostly graphical files. Even then, Anet is hands off texmod -- meaning if you screw up your 'modding', it's your fault and not theirs.
Other mods and hacks exist, i'm sure. I've been told of a speedhack too (useful for Droks running lol). But these are the ones that Anet is outright against, and using them might get your account banned. |
