Granted you have an IDE hard drive.

Its not that hard.

Look at the new hard drive. It should be similar to what is in your computer. Unless you somehow managed to have an IDE motherboard but bought a SATA hard drive.

Anyway, just find the hard drive in your computer and unplug the wires that are in it. Should just be a power cord in the hard drive as well as the IDE cable. Unscrew your hard drive from the case of your PC and pull it out. Put the new hard drive into the pc and screw it in. Put the IDE cable into the hard drive (make sure its not upside down, theres a notch on it so if your forcing it into the hard drive its upside down. Then plug in the power cord into the hard drive. It should also only go in one way.

Power on the computer, install an OS and your good to go.

You serious?Hard drives are easy to install.

But watch out when plugging in the cables to the new hardrive,do it calmly and don't bent any pins or you'll burn a few parts. My sister found herself a computer expert and rushed things while i told her to wait for me,i was picking up a screw.

Yup,she bent a pin and had to replace a few minimal parts. She was lucky.
