Hey kiddies and hoes, as most of you who are somewhat Avenged Sevenfold fans, their new Self Titled album is out for sale, not sure for how long it's been out, but it just arrived at the music store for me.
I'm madly in love with the songs Scream, Dear God, and Gunslinger. Their style completely changed and evolved, I absolutely adore the dark aura around all of their songs, and I must say kudos to Synyster Gates for the amazing guitar work. To me, it wasn't one of their best but it's an amazing CD, thoughts? PS: All of the songs are on youtube now. |

Haven't heard it yet, will check it out.
I pretty much hate the vocals, because M.Shadows is a horrible singer. The rest are just average. Synyster Gates is pretty much the only reason I like the band. Gonna youtube them now. Critical Acclaim: Too much of M.Shadows screaming. The speech in the middle was just annoying. Almost Easy: Catchy song. Solo was interesting, but nothing spectacular. Scream: This song totally bored me. Afterlife: Catchy song. I like it. ![]() Gunslinger: Nice, slow song. Unbound: One of the few songs where M.Shadows' voice was bearable, cause it sorta suited the song. Brompton Cocktail: Semi Catchy. Well it didn't hold my attention for long Lost: I like the main riff of the song and the solo as well. Good song. A little piece of heaven: Sounds like something from a horror movie at first. Then suddenly changes to a slow chorus. Sounds weird. Didn't like it much. Dear God: I like this song. But its weird knowing its Avenged Sevenfold. Its a pretty good try at this kind of slow song.

Avenged is proly the only hardcore/hard-rock/metal band I listen to seriously. I actually enjoy his singing for some reason. Its different from what you usually hear from hardcore/hard-rock/metal bands. Synyster is pure pwnage, IMO. The whole band just has this special difference from most bands from the genre/s. |

I will admit though, that this isn't their most hardcore or best of works, but their style has evolved so much that they sound like a new band now, even after Shadows had to have surgery, he still brings the amazing effects that make AV7X so amazing to me.
And well, we all can agree that Synyster and the drummer are just pure buttsex. |
