i know about how artisans work but not a lot since im a full bow hunter however i think i do know what the deal is with an artisan. anyways i dont know what ur previous question was however i can answer the 2nd question

basically u should just warn the person when u make the item for them. thats what i see a lot of artisans do. it's ur decision in which u should pay back ur customer or giv ur customer nothing back but the words 'im sorry'. if i were u though, i'd make sure i would get 100% manufacturing rate because u'll be better off making items u know u can make than pissing people off because otherwise, less people will come to you to make spears.

yes before you make anything for somebody make sure its 100 percent so there is no chance of you failing...like i am 94 percent at making bronze armor but bone im like a lil over 100 so I tell people i can make up to bone and if they wanna take the chance i am 94 at bronze...then its up to them....I still fail making bronze at 94...you just gotta make the other stuff till you raise your skill levels...

go and see the manufacture info, they will show u the succeed rate
