Yeah, thats another thing. Square-Enix didn't want to hassle with the card keys.

The only reason why WoW is popular is because it was made in America and the Developers actually use feedback from the community.

FFXI on the other had. Developers are Japanese and don't give a **** about anyone else but the Japanese gamers. Therefore whenever we give feedback... they give it a look and toss it out. It's been like this forever.

FFXI could've been as great as WoW, but the developers aren't going about things the right way.

No worries though, the next SE MMO is going to be announced soon.

The devs do listen. FFXI never failed at all.

WoW is just a better game for the market and has done better marketing. The mere fact that the game is challenging is what makes FFXI what it is. The Lan Party Feel and the ease of WoW is what makes it what it is. The market is stronger for the latter. But those who really got into both games would be at ends if anyone said WoW was a better product for the gamers.

Hmmm ive done all of those things, its kinda sad tho when you use the lfp sytem and about 2 other people around your level are all that comes up.....both which are afk. Ok so i made a party multiple times, try to invite said 2 afk people to no avail obviously. OMG guess im too noob to find non existent players again......Granted maybe i was just on a horrible server, but FFXI was not fun for me at all due to lack of population

People who resort to fanbois and other flames use is at their last support when they have no substance left in their position.

Your problem isn't unique.

Thing is that many people have several jobs at different levels. (even newer players). Many people are generally searching for parties that would need you, unfortunately those people are probably on jobs that are of different levels. They can see you, you can't see them, and you have less options as to what levels you can train at.

Lets your level 24 and I want to level my lvl 24 job. Chances are my character will be on it's main job like lvl 75 or a job that people generally grab for invites 62 BRD. You cannot see me, even though both of us could party together.

The first thing i do is go on my linkshells. Hey anyone have jobs around 24 and want to train. After that I might have 1 or two slots, I'd look at you, check ur rank, ask my linkshell "What you think of ButPirate is he any good?" Now chances are someone has heard of you because people talk about their parties in linkshells.

Now for me if i get a response like "his gear is shitty but he aint no noob", id invite you give you better gear and train with you. If you show potential then when you need help I'll log into my lvl 75 taru whm and plvl you when I'm bored.

If my friends say "he's just a smartmouth noob". I'd find someone else to after

My point is that it's not because no one is on, probably not because your server is dead. And probably not because no one is looking for players your level. It's because they aren't choosing you ( and i say that with no offence implied at all)

So how's the random newbie gonna get themself in a place where they can actually have fun. I got a few tips to find good fun parties other than just sitting in jeuno with your green flag up waiting for an invite

I think FFXI and WoW are both as close to perfection as possible, and I can back and support each game independently.

ButPirate makes sense and he is saying it's hard for many newer players to find parties and that he hardly found anyone to party with. Most people when they look for parties they look for it on multiple jobs if you have one job and don't have any connections your going to be waiting a long time for a game. If u have a good rep you will gain respect, you will log in and people gonna be messaging u to train with them even when ur not logged into the job they want you to play.

I also said WoW is a better game for the market. But if :you get into both games your gonna get offed when someone says WoW is clearly better, It has nothing to do with being a fanboy. FFXI just has more content and depth.

Hmm i actually liked both but now i like WoW the best cause the Playonline system is to idiot proof for their own good. If you loose your playonline ID or Pass your in trouble. Only way to get back in the game is to call them and give them tons of info about credit card, address etc. All the other ways to contact them you`l need the Playonline email address wich is easy to forget if you havent played in awhile. Anyway, that dosent matter if you loose your password anyway cause you cant log on to check your mail anyway.

I was about to start playing FFXI again a few days ago but now i dont think il ever play it again. They delete your account cause of inactivity. And its only been about 6 months(or less) since i stopped playing. When this happens you need to buy a new copy of the game cause only 1 playonline ID can be created per Registration key, and they cant be deleted/reset.

Just my version/opinion. Hope this helps alittle

I never claimed half of what you are making up. I did say the article explained why WoW was such a solidly developed game, and in better words than i was willing to type out. You failed to use common ENGLISH reading comprehension there, and you spun your own meaning into it. Lol good job champ.

As for a half degree, actually i have two separate degrees, so not really half, but nice attempt anyways. You should get off your high horse once in awhile, you might see things better without your head in the clouds.

Again, no one is saying whether FFXI or WoW is a more enjoyable game, but the solidity of the design. It is a common and well accepted known fact that WoW is one of the most well designed MMORPGs to ever have been created. From its concept to marketing, to actual coding and delivery to the consumers. Im sorry but it is a fact FFXI just does not have those bragging rights.

IT IS A FACT. FFXI was first released on the playstation 2 in japan. it was a console game, at its core it included design mechanics based on the console games at the time. The move over to the PC platform and Xbox system was not smooth. Sorry but it wasnt. The game was still testing out what it could and coudnt do.

No matter how much you argue, FFXI was made for the PS2 first and foremost, not the PC. You cannot deny this, nor the fact that the port process was not "solid". It took how many years for FFXI to balance out? There was server instability, major exploits, balance issues... It was not a solid release at all. After testing and testing and watching and watching, they have been able to make some changes.

You also have to remember, Square Soft + Enix, is not known for MMORPGs. That was their first time, their first challenge, making online persistent worlds and mmorpgs, much derived and influenced by its western forefathers, Ultima Online and Everquest.

You cannot win this argument with me because the facts speak for themselves.

I am going to take a stab at your post reading processes. You find a post, then look for something that you can find that makes you think there is any negativity towards your precious game. No they do not, at least not to the NA/EU users. The Japanese gamers do get more of a say then anyone else does.

If the developers actually listen to the NA/EU gamers then why haven't HNMs/Gods been fixed. Why is AV still unbeatable in its current state.

Sure they look at our suggestions but hardly any of them ever make it in because SE is too afraid to break their precious game. They'd rather design around the flaws then fix them themselves. Look how long it took us to get access into each others moghouse. (coming in expansion) Look how long it took for the 2hander fix.

Sorry for shitty post halfassing most of what i've written, hopefully it gets most of the point across... I'll come back and fix it after I get food.
