Not really, this board has more people that like FFXI that's all.

Naturally the more popular something is, there will be more people that don't want to have to do anything with it because it's too "cliche" for them.

People don't randomly go liking things without a reason.

Ah yes, but it could also be that there are simply randomly more people who like FFXI on this board.

Could just be that one happens to be a better game.

...i don't know how is WoW even comparable to FFXI,honestly.WoW feels like a polished F2P game with...well,no dept at all quest wise.FFXI Missions/Quests are actualy deep with a storyline for each character. In WoW,it was "kill this, get that, repeat, zomg do it again!MOAR OF THAT ITEM,with a different name and color now" quests.

I think we can all agree that Starwars Galaxies was the best MMORPG ever made, before they ****ed it up of course.

In all seriousness, either game are not worth buying at the moment because FFXI is extremely outdated, WoW is going to be dwarfed by other MMO's coming out in the future.

So in other words, just wait and get a game that is fresh, something like Warhammer Online.

As much as SWG doesn't have to do with this, people say that previously, it was good.

As much as I doubt this, is this true?

This post actually warrants a flame, but I'm not gonna bother.

Also from another post:
If it was a better game, it'd be talked about more, meaning it would have more than just 500,000+ players with 1.7million characters only.
