As for SWG, I heard it was pretty grindy, but at the time it was the World of Warcraft of its era. |

And like you said no one really cares about 500,000 or 7 million, that's why the game isnt growing, doesn't that kind of say something? maybe it's already hit it's peak and to welcome new players it has to offer something that's more welcoming to a broader audience. WoW is made for a broader audience, so of course it is easier, therefore more people can enjoy it.

If you're asking for my personal opinion, i'd choose World of Warcraft over
Final Fantasy XI any day. I don't know... I mean, when I played FFXI in the past, the comunity is way too quiet... and the game play isn't enjoyable to me.

This is going to be quoted, and they will reply with "it" being different from back then till now.. when in reality, not much has been changed.

Instead of feeding off of other peoples posts to try make an argument how about you play both games then get back to me. Wow is a game that like every genre has even though its not the best people still like it and it creates fanboys that like it no matter what FPS - Halo 3 / Unreal tournament RPG - WoW / Final Fantasy Horror - Resident evil / Silent Hill Sports - Fifa / Pro evolution soccer These are probs the most popular genres and even though games are better you still believe these are the best because of all the hype and fanboys that surround them the / is for games that are better. Actualy,FFXI won the multiplayer award because it IS a multiplayer. It feels like one.WoW?It feels like any ordinary massive online game.
Do try comparing multiplayer and massive online. Both are different. But hey, sure.WoW has the raid/LAN Party feel, that's a multiplayer point to WoW.And FFXI has solo classes, that's a massive online point for FFXI. Understand what i'm trying to say here?Like, you feel close with the people you are playing with, like you knew them and gradualy learned how they play.

if ffxi isnt enjoyable why would u make a post to try defend wow? I said WoW is made for a broader audience therefore it is more enjoyable by many. Oh and I never said the player base was decreasing -- learn to read. And you said less players play now than release, that means the population already did decrease, I was simply saying that it has hit a stagnant point and to gain a huge player base they would need to offer something that's actually tempting. and do you have any ACTUAL figures of how many people play ffxi? On May 16, 2007, FINAL FANTASY XI entered its sixth year of service! FINAL FANTASY XI has steadily grown over the months and years into a thriving community of more than 500,000 users. Once again, the development and operations teams have analyzed the paths and choices of Vana’diel’s adventurers and compiled a detailed report. We hope you enjoy this in-depth look at FINAL FANTASY XI’s constantly evolving community! Source: http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/gui.../07/index.html WoW: READING, England. – 24 July, 2007 – Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. announced today that World of Warcraft®, its award-winning massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), has reached a new milestone, with a player base now totaling more than 9 million subscribers worldwide. Source: http://www.gamershell.com/companies/...nt/363541.html Funny how you think im feeding off of other people's posts. Read what I said, I HAVE played the games, don't just sift through my one post and not look at the others and try to point out negatives without considering anything else to back up.
