pk lets end this and get 2 a solution

if your a impatient guy and want to level at a good rate and just want to do quests solo get WOW.

if you want a long story line and active partying and decnt fighting and no lag gameplay get FFXI.

i personally play FFXII and stopped playin WOW in bout 15 days because i found that FFXI made alot more sense.

WOW you get in 2 it very quickly while FFXII it takes time and you have to earn your way around if that makes sense.

so basically

if your a impatient gamer get WOw

if your patient get FFXI

end of the day its up 2 you

Ok, this is all i'm saying.

I liked FFXI and all, and it truely is a great game in many aspects. Quite a few things I like about this more than WoW. But I choose WoW just for the way you can pick up and play. Just having quick access to a game and not having to wait for a while to get into a party just to level is a very big plus. Even enough to win my vote. Sure you can really just solo to 70 in WoW... But you can also party, so you aren't just FORCED to. If you're just wanting to play a game for an hour before you have to go somewhere or just whatever, you don't want to have to run around looking for a party and probably not even get to do anything... do you?

Ok, see yall later. But not in this thread, because I know a massive flame war will EXPLODE any post now. ;P Stupid thread anyway... Just wanted to add my stupidity to it as well...

its funny, i consider the WoW fanbois the biased here.

that 80 replies are mostly resumed in one: "WoW endgame and pvp is a shit on a stick, and his community is the worst in the online history", yet the WoW fanbois are utterly unable to hold that concept in their heads.

yeah,keep thinking that we hate WoW without reasons....if u sleep better at night believing that, go on.

btw,u dont know many other forums eh? cuz the WoW "hate" is very widespread among all forums with some background or longevity in the net, populated with real gamers...

no, 95/100 ppl in this boards have played other games other than WoW, and know what a good game look like and offer....most WoW fanbois have only played WoW,and will never play any other thing.

i believe WoW is good for those who are sort of new to playing MMORPGs. With its user-friendly interface and quick-paced gameplay, WoW is a definite favorite for inexperienced players and casual players alike. I heard FFXI is a lot harder to get used to then WoW due to it offering many more features and a different style of gameplay. I say...if you wanna get the hang of playing MMORPGs, go with WoW, then when you feel like you wanna try something more challenging, drop WoW and then go for FFXI~

Actually ArcDevil, i've played many other games than WoW, i'm not a "fanboi" as you call it, and I will continue to try other games. The case is NOT closed, because your statement was not true.

Generally I would say FFXI, because it IS a much better game than WoW, it's a known fact.

But I do have a soft spot for WoW, since it's the first Play to Play game I've ever subscribed to.

But what it all boils down to is personal preference. I dislike WoW now because it's just to easy for me to play, where others will love WoW because they can play for thirty minutes and actually get somewhere.

Whilst people who play FFXI (like me) love the challenge of end-game and the Story Missions.

Yes, for the one simple fact: FFXI is a much better planned and executed game than WoW, because it BARELY copies any MMORPG out there, therefore being unique. WoW on the other hand is basically a smoothly polished Everquest. We already have Everquest, we don't need a new one (excluding Everquest II).

I find it funny that people say the "boards are biased". No, the people are biased, AKA they have an opinion. I have personally played FFXI for a long time, and I have seen several people play WoW. IMO, FFXI is by far the superior game.

I've played both. To tell you the truth I dont really like either of them. Im not a patient guy but I like FFXI cuz it was my first p2p mmo. But other than that...let me just tell you somethin: both games are great but this is what ruined them both for me.

I was dragged into wow when all my friends were already 60-70. So I had to party by myself or with complete strangers (even tho thats not necessarily a bad thing) to catch up. In the end i got fed up and quit at 53 lol.

That same month I decided to go back to FFXI cuz my other friends that played said they would help me reach them, cuz they were max too, but they always had to do some crazy BGNM or some junk with their linkshell or just plain too busy lvling their Bsts :| So again I had to lvl alone.

What I noticed is that lving is much slower in FFXI. I could maybe get to 20+ in 1 day in wow. In FFXI its a lil harder. :x

Although I dislike the combat system in wow, imo its better than the early FFXI combat system. When i say early, i mean when you barely have any skills. :| At lvl 20 in wow, some jobs might have an almost full hot bar. In FFXI you get burning blade as a warrior at lvl...what lvl was it? Well either way you dont get many skills in the early lvls. Not having played FFXI higher than lvl 20ish I cant tell you how end game battles are.

But in the end, WoW is for simple minded/casual/impatient/whatever you wanna call it, people. And FFXI is for the more patient...just patient i guess.

Dont get me wrong when i say simple minded, i mean straight forward players. My bad :P If i had to choose which to start playing again, i would probably go for wow.
