Slowwww and ugly.

A friend of mine who works at EA uses Code::Blocks. But I have always used Dev-C++

I'd say, try Dev-C++, if you don't like it, move onto something like C::B.
Fat girls need love too, if that aint true then why do Microsoft Office and Macromedia Studio sales still continue

Personally I like to write as much as I can in Notepad I don't feel like I need to wipe as much grime from my body when I do.

I've found that large projects go much smoother when using an IDE rather than using notepad and compiling myself. Development environments were written by developers, and I think you'll find that most of their interfaces and overall user experiences are quite intuitive if you decide to start using one. I don't know why you would feel the need to 'wipe grime from your body' after using an IDE. Trust me, using them is a major part of the software development industry and a lot of employers will look for experience with certain IDE's.

And just FYI, Macromedia is no longer making sales, they were purchased by Adobe a few years ago.

I don't know how you can stomach working without an IDE. Stuff just gets too complicated, at least, for me . Too many files.

Good to see you back, by the way, I think you left for a while, no?

I said Macromedia Studio, I didnt say Macromedia come on dude at least read what I put lol. The product sells I didn't mention the company. Im making a 3D MMO and I do all my code editing in notepad2 which gives me the syntax highlighting I need and able to search what I need. I work pretty easily without an IDE because I think of the layout of my code a lot more and can edit the code on my phone, laptop, mac, pc, anything I want when I want which in turns gives me more time and freedom to code when I want. I have always felt that IDEs are too GUI based for me, there are many developers out there who agree and some who don't essentially when it comes down to it code is handwritten unless you are editing source code I dont see the need for an IDE if I am typing my code up I come from a different era to you so we are likely to disagree but thats healthy :P. I feel the need to wipe grime from my body because I can't believe the bulk some people use to execute such simple tasks. A Programmers main friend is syntax highlighting in my eyes everything else is added extras.
