(sorry for the title, I couldn't resist
)Okay this is kinda weird.. I just got an Aeria Games newsletter and it says that they have a DOMO too? Why are two English companies with the same game? There is a Gametribe version: http://www.gametribe.com/gt/domo.do and now this Aeria Games version: http://domo.aeriagames.com/ Is there one that OnRPGers are gravitating to more? Or just the one that launches first? I was just confused by it... and also, you can now download the Gametribe version? But we can't play yet I suppose? EDIT: Just noticed, the image is there but its not linked, so no you can't download the Gametribe version

Gametribe is the EU Version while Aeria will be hosting the NA version.
Gametribe`s Closed Beta started at the beginning of September, estimate was that it would last a month with open beta following asap. Now its already November and they haven`t had any updates or announcements. We are pretty much fed up with the company and complaining on their forums just gets your post deleted. Aeria on the other hand will start their closed beta on November 12th. They`ve actually been pretty good so far..they`ve had a representative come to fansites and actually answer questions and actually gave us some info unlike Gametribe. So unless Gametribe gets their act together my vote goes to the NA Version of DOMO. Well as we all know by now Aeria's Closed Beta is on its way. And as I stated in the other thread my topic mentioning Aeriagames was just deleted. The thread were someone was asking if the Nov 12th date was for Gametribes DOMO was lcked as well. I heard from other people that their topics were locked too. So I checked my posts and found this: ![]() He just went and edited my post, and this wasnt the only post that was edited, it was however the only one were he forgot to remove the :Edited by blablabla label. So Gametribe is being tardy and unprofessional, refusing to give even a tidbit of info regarding Open Beta. Their estimate was one month, if it gets delayed by more than 4 weeks more I would have excpect at least a teeny tiny announcement but seems they don't agree. So now everytime we ask a question or even mention how well Aeria is handling things our post get modified or deleted, way to go gametribe. T_T

Gametribe will also be blocking non European IP's.
Aeria will possibly do the same for non-NA IP's.

This interview with OnRPG
discusses the differences Aeria Games DOMO will have with DOMO Game Tribe. http://www.onrpg.com/games_articles/view/686 Heres a snip of that part on the interview, it looks like DOMO NA will get one more class "Hunter" that EU DOMO wont have so we would be more inline with the asian versions. "Question: Will your version of DOMO be any different than the European version? Yes! We’ve made a serious effort to make DOMO have a more Americanized feel. Our creative department has added a few pop culture references here and there where we felt it would add a chuckle or two. We’ve also been hard at work writing new quests exclusive to the North American audience for future use. We are also adding the Hunter class for our version. The Hunter class (currently) is available in our version and the Asian versions of DOMO. Also, players who help out in the closed beta will receive a special collector’s item. Aeria Games has a large and friendly player base who are extremely enthusiastic about DOMO. They can’t wait to get their hands on it. Expect GMs to play an important role in organizing events and assisting players both in and out of game." |

I don't know what happened, I could have sworn Aeria was the NA version, untill I saw a notice about NA IP blocks, oh well.
