My laptop is really slow even though it's new, any idea what the problem is with it?

the specs are:
intel core duo 1.5ghz
1.9 ram
hard disk 120gb
vista

I tried fiesta but it lagged so bad so I think i'll try CO which'll hopefully work

can someone suggest something for me, i haven't had fun in a long time.
specs:
CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) III processor
CPU Speed: 598.00 MHz
System RAM: 256MB
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Professional (Build Service Pack 22600)
Video Card: Matrox Millennium G400 DualHead (Matrox G400)
Video Ram: 16 MB

and im pretty newbie with computers. please help me find something.

I am not saying it's bad, but with Vista your laptop isn't that good. I have just around the twice as your GB and better CPU and I have vista too and i lag too in many games...

Check for spyware and trojans, delete things in your registry and other useless shit..

actually i've played alot of decent games with these specs. i've played maple story, cronous, flyff, nostale, warcraft III, diablo, pheonix dynasty, etc.
