Guys, guys.... seriously..... history only seems like history to those who haven't lived it.

if you were born in 1812 you wouldnt think "woot ima watch napoleon get fooked tha shit up" youll be thinking... damn my life sucks.

unless of course you were born with the knowledge you have now.... in which case im pretty sure youd be thinking "ah crap".


If you write a detailed account of what you do each day starting now, maybe make some videos and stuff, maybe throw in a few items that you use alot on a daily basis like a mobile phone or a ballpoint pen... then seal it all in a capsule before you die... that will become history and will be infinitely interesting for someone studying the 21st century. yeah.

I bet a lot of people vote Middle ages because of this site there is a selection bias. However, I would say that modern day is a fantastic time to live ni, if you think about it. Flying around the world, space travel is in its infancy, Decent sewage system....

if you lived in medieval europe, chances are you would have a set of wooden teeth, rickets and a bad case of dysentry almost continually then die either in some pointless war at the behest of the local baron or in your bed at the ripe old age of 30.

unless of course you were an aristocrat in which case you could feast on suckling pigs and be as lecherous as you liked with the local wenches. then die from some awful disease.
