I was reading up on Classes and I wanted to know what exactly Craftsmen do? Are they sort of a melee class? Or are they more of a character you use for a mule or something other than leveling?

well, i played rose so, i think it will be pretty much the same thing.

you make swords, axes, wands, clothes, armors, medicine,...and get exp for doing those things;

and yea i am pretty sure you get some attk skills to grind.

well they 1hit for most part of the game yet they suck up all your money " i don't understand it why they actually suck up all your money cause they have decent def, high attack and if you don't bother making stuff yet it doesn't seem that expensive O.O

Buy for cheap, sell for high.

probably not cause they waste money according to tales >.> i was planning to make a craft at 1st cause they 1hit till lvl60-70 " but they are like girls, they spend more then they give back.... So now i think about it, are whores really that bad? for low price you get alot >.> with a girlfriend they spend more then they actually give back..... No matter how i think about it now the whores are cheaper!!

I would suggest picking another calss first and going to craftsmen later because it does use some more money than other classes

its true that crafters can achieve highest one hit dmg in the beginning . . .
reason is
-> their skill requires little amount of skill points, thus u can master it soon . . . (very soon)
- the atk skill tree branch , u have to max the previous to get the following . . .
- so think of a class worse than mages . . . ">> u max ur skill when u can get it

there is no way a lv 60 craft can one hit lv 60 mob . . . well there is one that u might be able to , but U DONT KNOW THIS !!!!

Crafters are important for their ability to craft . . . not really weapons or armors , these can drops . . . however they are important to make those normal eqs to .G (rare drop) .XG (never drop)
.G .XG are eqs that doesnt have limit on ur statue points (str , agi ect)
thus important to pure classes + normal < .G < .XG (.G .XG has dmg or def bonus , +5% or higher depends)

side note:
since U ARE NOT gonna TRY TO melee high lvl monsters (lv 100+) . . . u need a source of crafting manuals
.G .XG or any high lvl armor crafting manuals cost abit , especially .G or .XG , extreme rares . . .
u can make .G or .XG armors then sell
---> Mages and Clowns need high level .G or .XG armors
---> All class should be looking for a .G or .XG weapon
---> Knights may look for their .G or .XG armor for the % boost
. . . . but will people buy if u put it on high !?!?
why would people risk their high +6~+9 armors for your high priced .G on sell and then re-upgrade them !?!?

yes it does take money to make money for craftman.
n no u cant buy the stuff u need for a cheap price.
since craftmen are needed to make G equipments, the cost of making those equipments are expensive.. u need a G scroll which can cost more than 10 million.. couple of rubies, pink diamonds, crystals, etc... rubies = 1.5-2 mil each. pd = around 3 mil each. crystals = around 350k each. its not cheap at all.
