Tech Threads in General section. Just from the last 5 pages I didnt want to go back too far. But I think the last date I looked at was around 11/11/07. They arent all just computer hardware etc, but they can be related to tech worthy questions/answers.

Good question, topic was brough up, only one person responded, and said it was a good idea... then nothing. We would do a tech forum if anything but still same. Will bump up the topic in our forum.

And these are just the ones that I would consider to be placed into a sub-forum of its own. I dont believe any of them are repeats of my original thread.

I think that if the forum were created, and the threads were moved into it as a starting base, then it would get a lot of activity as long as its able to be seen. Obviously at the bottom of the forum would make it a less active unless it was promoted for quite some time. Same could probably be said about the programming section.

Just because they're aren't 10+ threads a day about this doesn't suggest that its a topic thats talked about often and could give a lot of people some great advice when going to upgrade/buy/etc their computers or just questions in general.

It would also give a place for those that are tech knowledgeable and like to look at those type of threads/questions and be able to answer them without being lost in the pages of news and idiocracy that can be found often in General.

Besides, what kind of gaming forum and website doesn't have a section dedicated to computers, hardware, etc.?

I hate to double post on this topic but it has been a little over a week again, almost three weeks later since original posting, but again I wanted to know if anything has come of this?

I'm not going to back up my reasoning with links from the General section this time. I just woke up so I'm not really in the mood to find them this time.

So... anything new?

I still haven't seen any actual user-oriented creation of a forum...

I think it's because only a few people ever look down here, much post on this section at all. So there's not enough opinions about the subject, so the Admin can't really make it.

Oh, and about a hardware section, I agree, we should have one. I bet more people have questions about their hardware on this forum, just no where to put it (sometimes, the general just doesn't seem like a section for it, ya' know?).
