I've been looking around at some of the new PBBG's in development for my PBBG List and it looks like 2008 is going to be a good year ... the next generation of PBBG's are creeping out, some are astonishing looking and I can't wait for them to get released. One looks like Diablo but through your browser only, another is going to be 3D and through your broswer, a couple are in Beta / Alpha and can be played now. Dogs of War (above) is in Final Beta and a good taste of what's to come. Even Sherwood is has improved over the last year ... now if they would just add content it would be the best.

Look for RoL and Fallensword to drop off the top 5 within the next few months. The top 5 Gold list will look entirely different then and current gold games will drift off to silver and bronze.

Fallensword is text based like my game Lands of Hope so I am not sure it should be on a graphical game listing or else you are going to have your hands full dealing with text based games.

Oh? You mean it is only PTP now with no free version? It used to have a playable free version that was okay. Most free versions are too restrictive but DOTS had a decent free version. Let me know whats changed and I will try to find some time to update.

I've already had my hands full, text based or not. FS is graphical based, you have a dot on a map that represents you and you can point and click to move. Graphical based does not mean 3D, nor does it mean "good design" it just means graphics based, for which it is. There is more information on my site about how I rate and determine what is graphical; primarily looking for pbbg's with "walkable" maps. There are always exceptions though, some games like KoL for example are not walkable but are extremely popular due to their deep content, so in this example it rated Silver.

Fair enough, I've always had the problem with my own game that everyone refers to it as a Text based game and very few people see it as a graphical game yet it contains over 15,000 images. Go figure!

So that is why I considered FS to not be graphical either, but I guess whatever criteria you are using is up to you.
