The cheapest one CANNOT play without a memory card or hard drive. A memory card is cheap, but sucks ass. A hard drive is up there in the 160$, I think. To be honest, it's better to get the premium, because you'd be paying more for a separate hard drive. Premium also gives you a month free of XBL, and a headset. Plus, you wouldn't be a cheap asshole.

Alright your friend is retarded hit him for me. alright get premium if you are not going to download alot of movies and such Elite if you like buying crap off the marketplace. DO NOT BUY the core system tho you will need to buy a HDD either way witch I think it will cost more. I remeber a guy not being able to play coop with me on xbox live because he had a memory card and not a hdd. You might not understand what im saying because I just type all of my thoughts but DO NOT BUY CORE.
