Doesn't the Law of Conservation of Energy state that energy may neither be created nor destroyed, only transformed? I was told that in bio class four years ago, so I'm not sure.

Energy cannot be destroyed.

That's what I learned in the last 10 years of school.

I would've thought energy being used is someway of destroying it.

And as for Energy not being able to be created sounds off. Kinetic is such a wayform.

Technological advancements to this date have been fairly moderate and slow compared to the 19th and 20th century. It seems that mankind is more and more inclined to invent something smaller and smaller. Nanotechnology is gaining interest from various organizations and companies, Apple is thriving on something that no-one has ever thought of before: I-Pods.

I won't be surprised if people in near future reach the pinnacle of tech-mountain where robots have minds of their own with capacity to learn new things. Kinda makes all those futuristic robot-based movies and animes and mangas seem a certain reality.

Though...if mankind guides technology along the wrong route, then we might have ourselves a war between men and machines.

It is changing our world, but so have most other innovative things. Look when the first Model T Ford was released, parents thought it was the end of the world because kids could go out instead of staying home and do the "dirty" lol. They also said it when rock and roll was invented. So it is different but it is always like that.
