Actually, you could technically say that technology is destroying the world.
Massive CO2 emissions from factories and cars are devastating ecosystems around the world. I'm sure you've all heard of global warming and the greenhouse effect. If we don't stop this soon, many major ecosystems will be at risk... and they already are, with glaciers melting, and the rainforests being cut down at astonishing rates. Technology is destroying the world. |

It's the factory workers and the bulldozer operators that are causing the CO2 emissions and forest razing. |

Technologie is destroying this world, im a 26 year old male, that means if i ever get a wife or and we get children some things that i have now will be shredded.
I cant imagine having a son or daughter who wants to be around the TV or PC more then he/she wants to be around me. I cant imagine my son/daughter really hopeing or thinking that this world will stand forever. This world has turned upside down, standing on its head, this world will go down, not because of technologie but because of more reasons. Its hard to see the Big picture if you keep looking at the things that make you happy and ignoring the fact that there is more. If anyone ever become fathers or mothers, throw your pc, tv away, if you feel helpless and thinking to yourself " Damn what should i do know with my son" then you know that you lived in your own world and now with your son. THIS WORLD IS GOING DOWN, AND I HOPE IT BURNS FOREVER. Next time your dad or mother dont spend time with you or you see them or yourself watching tv without talking a word for minutes, turn of the tv and say " WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE" Last edited by xtinCt; 12-03-2007 at 01:21 AM. |

I usually disagree with bacn, because he's right and i try to sound smart and just say he's wrong.
but in this case.... He's right, we've gotten this far, but on another case. Technology has progressed a big dump load in the last 7 years. So yeh, my family is together. Not paying attention to the tv. So its coo', it totally depends on the family. |

thats kind of what i was saying xtinct in my first post.
We are separating ourselves. More families are now in their individual rooms on their computers or television. Less time to spend with each other. Many families also have siblings who feel akward being around each other in a quiet place. I for one feel weird eating at the dinner table with my brother alone. We never communicate. But thats just one version of a problem. Also yes it isnt necesarily technologies fault but it can be when robots demand rights. |

And if those factories and bulldozers didn't exist... if those factory workers used their hands to make stuff, and the bulldozer operators used axes to chop down trees/move stuff, then there would be no CO2 emissions... How are the factory workers and bulldozer operators doing it? ![]() It's the factories and bulldozers... If this stuff didn't exist, then... Overall, I'd say that it's more a combination of both, humans and technology. The technology is destroying it, and the humans are using it badly. Last edited by GrandHustle; 12-03-2007 at 01:54 AM. |

but i shun those who think that technology has a solution to all problems. i think alot of problems are inherent in ourselves and cant be solved by some new gadget. we think we are so awesome, we think we know everything. well, 500 years ago we thought we knew everything... but we bloody well didnt. its all about perspective. we think we are so smart now but something, anything could happen that would change that perspective. future generations could look back on us now and judge that we are all ignorant. i say, let time tell. also: SKY NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET DYSON WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!!!!!! |
