the best one i know is Valhalla http://valhalla.com

and i quit after 5 mins. i like the concept of MUD but i never found an enjoyable one, if anyone can recommend me i'd be glad.

Yeah, that's the best i've seen. Takes a small download, but it's actually REALLY good. Nice people, too. Don't know how many still play now, but I played for a few days a while ago when my new computer was on its way and my old one barely played anything...

This is the best MUD out, GemStone IV

problem? 15 dollars a month to play for a regular subscription. But, its still the best MUD that is out. I'm currently on the 30 day trial (credit card required), its pretty fun so far...I'm still learning, I like it though.

How can you possibly claim it's the best MUD out there - have you tried every other one in existence?

You realise that there are plenty of great MUDs out there where you don't have to pay a dime, which are run just for the love of making a great online world?
