I dont know if this is the place to post this but im going to anyway. I want to see a creative MMO that breaks away from the Fantasy and Sci-Fi genre. I find alot of MMOs boring. I only play one: Myth War. Ive looked for and played other but none of them are entertaining. The quest lack any purpose or realtivity to a story. The gameplay just is the same thing over and over and over again. I dont mind lvling and getting Items and playing quests: thats the best part of MMOs. In fact thats some what the goal in MMOs. That should stay and for some MMOs it should go. I want to see a creative MMOs. Anything that breaks away from the tradtional MMO. Anything at all that would be unique, creative and most of all entertaining. post anything free or anything that may even be pay to play. ANYTHING!

In my mind, the best MMOs are the ones that combine RPG elements with storyline. Farming spawns and doing random retrieval quests is not what makes an RPG.
Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights are amazing games to play online, although they are not massively multiplayer, they are still persistent worlds. |

Play City of Heros/Villans(Heros is more team based and villans is more solo based). They don't use most of the generic systems most mmos use nowadays and the quests have a storyline that devolopes as you complete each quest. You can also give Guildwars a try. Guildwars tends to feel more like a multiplayer RPG then an actual mmo. Guildwars dosn't have any level retrictions(which wouldn't matter anyway because the max level is 20) for the quests so once you complete one quest your on to the next.

Nothing says "fun" like running around aimlessly and shooting randomly with 8 year old kids. |
