In a recent blog posting, a member of Microsoft's Windows Shell team revealed to a stunned audience the companies major plans to incorporate a never before seen touch interface in it's latest operating system. Microsoft Windows 7.
The successor to Windows Vista, the extremely successful operating system released back in January, Windows 7 promises to be even more revolutionary than transparent window frames, as shown below. ![]() “All I will say that if you are impressed by the ‘touch features’ in the iPhone, you’ll be blown away by what’s coming in Windows 7", says the team member. But, being the egotestical maniac that I am, it's safe to say that this "touch revolution" will actually be what is present in Microsoft Surface, another touch project which is exactly like the iPhone's multitouch technology. http://www.microsoft.com/surface. |

How could they make it a touch interface? Wouldn't it require that the monitor used also be compatible with a touch interface?
That'd be pretty sick though, one step closer to Minority Report style (And many other works of science fiction that show the hand guiding through databases on a transparent screen.)
