Ok. Don't flame me for posting this. I just want to hear what each of you think about it. I have been thinking these past few weeks of why we, the mankind, exist and that, out of zillions upon zillions of planets and stars out there, why this one small planet was made into such a life-friendly environment. As i continued thinking, my thoughts changed over to Heaven and hell and etc. I asked myself, is there really a heaven? a paradise where people who die on Earth go to? Or is there something else?
So...what are your opinions? Do you believe in heaven? If you are a devout religious person then this question should be a no-brainer. For others, if you do not believe in heaven, then what do you think will happen to you when you die? will you wonder the living world as a "spirit"? will you be transported to some other world/dimension/universe? good feedback would be appreciated~ |

Yes, I do believe there is a heaven. Human life is to valuable to go un-noticed. I do not believe life happened merely by chance, and nor do I believe that we cease to exist when we die. Not only is thinking in that manner very negative, but it's also just plain scary. I do consider myself a strong Christian and the thought of a Heaven does give comfort and hope for an eternal life after this hell-hole we call Earth.

i think spirits do exist inside you
..if some crazy scientist were to clone you..would that be you? would u see through 4 eyes? i mean..u should right? cuz thats you! but what makes those 2 clones different is that...the spirit inside is different. yeah ok makes no sense. but heaven...not sure...it'll be kool thinking u get to party all night but what if u get...bored?

well, for those who chose option 3, you said you are hoping that there is something more after death? what do you mean by that? if you do not believe in "spirits" and whatnot, then what will you be expecting? Death on Earth basically means that your body that was created on Earth can no longer function/exist. Who knows whether your mind/soul (if you believe in souls) will decay with your body for eternity, or will detach itself and...well...this is where it becomes a mystery. I personally do not know, because there have been countless incidents of hauntings and whatnot in numerous places on Earth. I believe these hauntings are caused by "souls" that did not depart Earth and are wondering around for some reason. This also leads me to believe that souls can/will detach from its physical body.
Edit: @mystery - now lets look at the definition of heaven here. In my words, its basically a paradise where true, never-ending happiness and everlasting life can be found. If thats the case, then how can you become bored? If you are truly happy, then there is no way anything will make you feel otherwise. |

for me, 'heaven' is just a condition or situation, not a place where u can go to. Well, actually every religion has different definition of 'heaven'.
![]() So, if u mean heaven as a place, I would choose option 2 then
