1) Is Avant a japanese browser? Cause if it is, the name is kinda misleading.
2) Can we curse on these forums?
3) Is there a way to change quickly between Unicode settings?
The first question is just to quench my thirst for knowledge. The second one is because some curse words are so much better to use than their lite counter parts.
The third one is actually the important one. You see, while I was waiting for this thread to get some replys I put myself to good use and started doing some coding. At one point I got a syntax error, and when I placed the mouse over the error, the help regarding the error was in Japanese.
I`m guessing that was because of that setting about Language for non Unicode programs was set to Japanese. My problem is that if I want to change that I need to re-start my PC, and I am already forseeing that as very tedious after several times. Infact I didn`t even bother to change it, and found the mistake by myself 2
I could learn japanese and leave with it, but I rather take the easy way out if there is any.
OuterRem: I am not running on Vista, I`m under XP. Just wanted to clear that out. My guess is that I just suffered a common case of "Shitty Browseritis". I`m really glad I don`t have to come in visual contact with IE anymore for probably the rest of my life.
Suvi: Explaining cute is very difficult, more so in text. You will have to go on, knowing you can write cute sentences. Even if you don`t know how cute they are.
Well that was awesome, I don`t think I will be posting anymore. I enjoy more playing the game rather than typing about it. Bye and thanks!

Glad to hear it man.
1.)I thought Avant was American made, but I think the team as a whole is a VERY international group. I'd have to poke around the site to know for sure.
2.)Shit yes. Erm, to my knowledge.
3.)Sadly no. Many people will have to restart every time they change the non-Unicode regional language settings, as well. And vista is also, somewhat unstable with it.
**Regarding this; if you are doing ANY installations, of ANY programs, I recommend you switch
back to English right away. If vista breaks down when running a program that uses those parameters, then when you are installing a program that's supposed to be in English, it might be even worse.

Ok, you're on XP, uhh well same rules apply really, though I can't really explain why IE was acting like that. Regardless, Avant is just a shell for IE, so it's as if you were using IE anyway, without the instabilities and security issues, for the most part.
And yeah, switching back and forth is always a pain, but I don't know any quick work around for this, myself.
If you find one, please let me know.

::EDIT::
Whoa whoa wait a second. You should be able to view the website even if you're Regional settings are in English. So long as you have the Asian Language pack and IME. You need your XP CD to put it on. And you've already added that it seems.
Just bear in mind that the game text might all be in gibberish. But some people don't care since it isn't legible to them anyway.
So it IS an option.
