BACCANO! was easily the best anime series of 2007.

I don't know why it didn't get more love.

It's about Alchemists that drink the Elixir of Life, therefore gaining eternal youth.

About 300 years later the same people are in the 1920's (or 30's), in New York, as Mafia members. At the same time everyone is scurrying around for more of the Elixir of Life.

The whole thing is just whacky, amazing, and highly underrated. It deserves awards, dammit.

That is completely different from what I was thinking. It actually sounds like it's interesting to watch.
