I know there are many threads about this, but it seems like I'm the only one who can't get maple story to work. I've tried a manual patcher, I've tried redownloading it. I thought my worries were over when I redownloaded it, but it says that gameguard has a corrupt file and when it's just about to start up my computer reboots. :mad:

I guess I'll have to find some other way to play MapleStory, but someone please tell me for Cody's new quest, is whatever we have to collect being sold at ridiculous prices?

Ok so can u breifly say What Exactly happens? So does Ms turns on and then closes after 2 sec or what? :confused:

Cause u might have some fire wall thats affecting it...ok..hmm or you can go to Start>>>Run>>>type in "MsConfig" Go to the last tab...and check what is on thats making it not turn on..it happen to me last time...so yea its simple

The pigs heads and leather are being sold for ridiculous prices, at least 20k each for a pigs head, not sure about leather but probaly around the same price. Tree branches haven't gone up that much and I bought mateons helmets for 500 each for the flag.

I'm having the same problem he is, weird.

Okay here goes.

Less than a week ago i spent $1,600 dollars on my new pc. kickass.

i installed maple story and all my other stuff and everything works fine. today we had a patch or whatever. i open ms and its like "checking patch" or something and BAM for like a split second i see a BSOD and its already restarted showing my ABIT screen.

i figure my video card drivers are screwing up when i open it and are causing my bsod, because i have a nvidia 7900 and its BUILT FOR WINDOWS VISTA or so it says a million times, so hell, my pc is new so i just go ahead and download windows vista beta 2 because the drivers for my card are incorporated and they're not windows xp certified or whatever.

so here i am on vista beta 2, and i downloaded ms and its like, "GameGuard: Initalize Failed (360)" and i'm like. zomgwtf.... so i search around and it says corrupt file or firewall... so i download the gameguard for ms install and turn off my firewall, install the new gameguard and its the exact same thing.

so here i am posting here. waiting for a response to see if my computer restarts when i open maple story.

Does anyone know if maple story is windows vista compatible? if its not i'm gonna reinstall windows xp and hope it was a bug in the install of it.

i'm just kinda hanging out waiting for an answer playing with vista, so someone please?

and hardly anything is vista compatible since vista is only beta and developers are waiting till its live

I'm growing impatient since i have to be up by 7AM tomorrow and i was hoping to figure this shit out.

and i've installed a couple programs and they didnt say anything about not being vista compatible.

i double clicked patcher and it gave me a GAMEGUARD folder and then it tried to connect and it gave me the "retry" button

ARe you guys on ms right now?

no im at work and i don't play that often..but i guess you could email wizet
and maybe disable any firewalls including the windows firewall if you haven't already done so..also do you happen to have a router?

Yeah i have a 900 dollar cisco router, though i dont know what ports gameguard uses. and my windows firewall is completely disabled.

id suggest just forwarding the ports maplestory uses if you haven't already done so
