the games that give u the most freedom that are out there already are Secondlife, and Perfect world. Both require alot of time. Perfect world requires a shitload of money to do anything, and Secondlife requires time to learn stuff. If you want good graphics, and combat morphed into that, go for perfect world. It has great customization. You can even carry other people. The Wing elves start off with wings, so when you start, u can push a button to grow these really cool looking wings and start flying around. The only bad things are, u have to have no life and a shitload of cash to build stuff. If you meet those requirements, it's ur game. Also, its bad grind later on. At the start, it's easy as long as you do the quests, and find a good friend off the start who knows everything.
Hope I helped!

runescape is like that, but the only downside is that the creators are on this anti-real world trading thing, its screwing the game up bigtime, and they even told the members about some crappy update next year about getting rid of merchanting...half the members quit it.
But its just what you want, cept that you cant build towns or villages :P
