ok..seriously, selling money is against the rules of runescape. The only reason the game has changed so much in the past month is because of people selling money for real world cash. This not only hurts the economy of rs, it also makes everyone else suffer because of a certain percent of the community are to lazy and stupid to get cash for them selves. I for one hate anyone who buys virtual gold for real money. not only is it pointless to spend money on something that really shouldn't cost anything, but the staff can trace ANYTHING IN GAME! Do you not know what this means??? If you don't let me explain..When your trading a party hat. that trade is recorded and stored. when trades take place that seem to be suspicious of real world trading (a party hat set for a spade..or potato..something less then 15 coins) then they act on it. This is why the some of the smart scamers found that if they just drop traded it then who's going to know? Well they still know..Every single item in rs has its own little code number that they can trace from person to person, from person to thing, etc..thats why the update for "you cant see it if its more then 5k" or however much it was. Also thats why all the trading things have limits on them. People who support real world trading are hurting the game and everyone in it. the more you act like complete idiots the worse off everyone else with a brain stem is..Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but you RWT's are abusing the privilege.

Your ideas on how the Runescape economy works are extremely flawed unfortu ately. There are far too many trades happening each day for them to keep records. Even if they did, there are not enough hours in the day to check each of the millions of trades for inconsistincies or suspicious behaviour. Basically, Jagex are just introducing new ways to line their pockets. I would not be surprised if they introduced their own currency purchase system in 2008. |

yeah..i can see that happening really soon. why would they go to all the trouble to stop real world trading..then do it themselves? and as for your question, i dont know exactly how they do it. im going by what they tell me and sence i cant take anyone elses word for what they do and how they do it but theirs then i guess it will have to do. As long as their doing something about it.
