U probably already figured it out but hot keys are all custom done
Menu - Macros - Book #.
Use Alt 0-9 and Ctrl 0-9

I don't see a need for Hotkeys anyway. It's all right there in a little menu when you're in battle, so I see it pointless for hotkeys/macros unless you're in a party and need to heal specific people or do a certain skill at a precise moment.

There are too many spells and moves for hotkeys to work in productive manner.

The controls may seem like they suck the first few weeks in the game. But you really only should use hotkeys for parties.
