the "required skill job: daggers" mean that the skill that you're trying to learn is FOR daggers and you'll need the first sub-skill of the daggers to learn it.

if you're claw or bow,
go to your destinated skill tree and look at the box at the very top left side and read what the skill name is. then buy the book at valley village that corresponds to that name and you should be able to learn the other skills for that weapon.
